The Opportunity

The Sonoma County Tourism Bureau had a bit of a Sybil challenge – many diverse personalities under one name. We sought (and seek) to develop a core branding look, feel and voice, while still allowing various segments to assert their respective individuality.
 

The Solution

Start with an overarching viewpoint. For us, it was the idea that Sonoma County, even with its relatively small geographical area, offers a wealth of options for wine tasting, dining, golfing, spas, and outdoor activities. The guiding line became: 'Calling it a county is like calling Paris a nice little village'. This gives us permission to explore the unique and myriad assets of the area while always reinforcing the idea that there literally is something here for everyone.
